Neptune's Tiger History Team: Week 6 Day 1

Week 6 Day 1

For this week, we had to do a presentation about World War 1. They include some events that occurred during that time, all the mechanism they used and what caused the world war 1, including the domino effect.

Each of us was given a 3 minute time on the presentation we did. So in total, it was around 15 minutes. Here's the link to the presentation

1. What was the topic of the day and what important parts were learned? Demonstrate understanding and application.

For this week, we had to present the presentation regarding the World War. Each team has to grade one another, and its not as a whole, we had to grade each person individually based on their presentation, voice, speed, etc. If we don't really get what they are saying, we have the right to give them a low score. We have learned some extra information regarding the topic that is being presented and we added each information to our coursework file that would be handed in later on the year.

2. Critical thinking: was there a discussion? BHQ's? Give an analysis and evaluation; compare and contrast the scenario and find evidence of it happening elsewhere? Demonstrates analysis and evaluation.

There was a few discussions regarding the grades that we have to give to each person individually. Some of our group members thinks that its not fair for us to give them a low score but the other team member said otherwise. We debated only for a few minutes and we had to take note of the time (3 minutes). If the person infront go bellow 3 minutes, we have to minus 10 points from their overall score that we have written. The teacher would gather all the paper and think through before putting the actual score in the grade book.

3. What was done, who did it and how was it assessed?

We had to listen to others present their topic while scoring them based on each category provided in the paper given. The overall score that we have to give is 1-10 and for our team, no one graded another person a perfect 10. There was a few low ones such as 1,2 and 3 but no 10, since we feel that they didn't present well enough to fit the criteria of a 10. We had to wait for other groups before we could present our own presentation. The order was as the groups alphabets (A, B, C, D, E, F) and if someone did not submit the presentation the day before, they can do the presentation after school.

4. How was the team performance? What can be done to improve (how are we implementing Kaizen daily).

I feel like our team performance for this day was calm and okay. We considered each others opinion regarding the scores we gave to the other team, and even though some people haven't presented yet because of the lack of time, we already presented and got a fair amount of scores. Overall, our team performance could've been better and more efficient.

This is us getting up and getting ready to present for the presentation
